1. The Short Version
Our website at https://www.dashe.ai sets one kind of cookie of its own, and only if you say yes: Google Analytics cookies, which tell us which pages are read and where visitors come from. Nothing is set until you choose in the banner, Reject is as easy as Accept, and you can change your mind at any time from Cookie settings in the footer of every page. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The other cookies you may encounter come from embedded services, and only on the pages that use them: the demo booking calendar on our Book a Demo page, the Eventbrite registration pop-up on our event pages if you choose to open it, and YouTube if you press play on a session recording.
This policy explains that in full. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, and applies to the website. The Dashe mobile application does not use cookies.
2. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device to remember things between pages or visits. They range from strictly necessary (keeping a service secure or functional) to entirely optional (advertising and tracking). UK law requires consent for the optional kinds; strictly necessary cookies do not require consent.
3. Cookies on This Site
Cookies can be set in two ways: by us, for analytics, once you have accepted; and by embedded third-party services, on the pages that use them.
Everywhere, only after you press Accept: _ga and _ga_VQXSDKHTR9
- Set by: Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited), loaded through Google Tag Manager
- Purpose: telling one visit apart from another, so we can count visitors, the pages they read, roughly where they are and the site or search that brought them here. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses, and we have not switched on any advertising features
- Type: analytics (first party, set for www.dashe.ai)
- Duration: up to 2 years, or until you reject analytics or clear your cookies
These cookies are set only after you press Accept in the cookie banner. Until then the Google Tag Manager script loads but sets nothing and sends nothing about your visit to Google. Pressing Reject, now or later, stops them being set and clears the Google Analytics cookies from this browser.
Everywhere: your choice itself, dashe-consent
- Set by: us
- Purpose: remembering whether you accepted or rejected analytics, so the banner does not reappear on every page
- Type: strictly necessary (first party), held in your browser's local storage rather than as a cookie; it is never sent anywhere
- Duration: 12 months, after which we ask again
On the Book a Demo page: __cf_bm
- Set by: Cal.com (via Cloudflare), the provider of the demo booking calendar embedded on that page
- Purpose: security and bot protection for that calendar
- Type: strictly necessary (third party)
- Duration: about 30 minutes
This cookie is only set when you visit the Book a Demo page, where our scheduling provider Cal.com renders the booking calendar. If you complete a booking inside the calendar, Cal.com may set additional cookies needed to operate the booking flow; these are governed by Cal.com's own privacy documentation, and the personal data involved is described in Section 2.10 of our Privacy Policy.
On event pages: Eventbrite's registration pop-up
- Set by: Eventbrite, Inc., the provider we use to take registrations for live sessions
- Purpose: operating the registration and checkout flow inside the pop-up, including keeping your place in it and protecting it against abuse
- Type: functional and security cookies (third party), set inside Eventbrite's own frame
- Duration: varies by cookie; governed by Eventbrite's cookie statement
Simply visiting an event page loads a small script from Eventbrite so the Register button can open the pop-up. Cookies are set only if you open it. Eventbrite's advertising and analytics pixels are disabled for visitors in the UK and EU inside this embedded checkout. If you would rather not use the pop-up, the Register on eventbrite.co.uk link under the button takes you to the same registration on Eventbrite's own website.
On event pages with a recording: YouTube, only if you press play
- Set by: Google (YouTube), which hosts our session recordings
- Purpose: playing the video you chose to watch
- Type: third-party cookies and similar storage, set inside YouTube's own player
- Duration: varies by cookie; governed by Google's privacy policy
Until you press play, the recording is a still image served by us, and nothing loads from YouTube. Pressing play loads the video in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube's own terms and privacy policy apply to it from then. If you would rather not, the Watch on YouTube link under the player opens the same video on YouTube's own website.
Beyond these, no cookies are set on this site.
4. Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how the website is used: which pages are read, how long people stay, the devices and browsers they use, the country or city they are in (worked out from an IP address that Google truncates and does not store), and whether a visit came from a search engine, a link or a campaign. We use it to decide what to write and what to fix. We do not use it to identify you, to build advertising profiles or to follow you across other sites: Google Signals and advertising features are switched off, and the data is kept for 14 months at most.
Google processes this data on our behalf, and some of it is processed in the United States under the safeguards described in Section 7 of our Privacy Policy. Analytics runs only with your consent, and the default is off. We will not add advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
5. Managing Cookies
You can accept or reject analytics in the banner on your first visit, and change that choice at any time: open Cookie settings in the footer of any page, or follow this link. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, including the third-party cookies described above. Blocking them may prevent the demo booking calendar, the Eventbrite registration pop-up or a session recording from working correctly (the plain links to Eventbrite and YouTube still work); every other part of the site will work exactly the same.
Guidance for common browsers is available at https://ico.org.uk/for-the-public/online/cookies/.
6. Changes to This Policy
If what we set ever changes, this policy will be updated before or alongside the change, and the "Last updated" date above will reflect it.
